Chefs have their say
NorthIce puts a premium on co-operation with Icelandic chefs. The Icelandic Master Chefs' club has helped NorthIce market and promote its seafood
flavors. We hope that NorthTaste will help to spread the fame of Icelandic cooking throughout the world. By working closely with chefs, NorthTaste has been developed into a select product. The climax was the presentation of NorthTaste at the annual conference of Nordic chefs in Reykjavík in May 1999. Their response convinced us that there was a place for NorthTaste on the international market.
It is NorthIce's task to stimulate consumers' taste buds. This we can only do indirectly, with the assistance of master chefs, by providing them with
flavors of the highest quality. Putting it more exactly, we help the chefs to
tantalize the consumers' taste buds. NorthTaste is intended for creative chefs, to be used whenever the taste of select seafood is desired. Possibilities for its use are only limited by the imagination of the chef himself. Nothing is added to NorthTaste, neither salt nor other ingredients, which might limit the possibilities of using it with other starting ingredients. Chefs are both encouraged to try out the
flavors in their kitchens, when they want to produce a true seafood
flavor, and to contact us at NorthIce and tell us what they think. It is important to obtain as varied examples as possible of the use of the
flavors in Icelandic cooking. That can serve as the first step for the company on the international market.
